Last updated: Oct 23, 2026. HireCost should be usable by everyone, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom or high-contrast settings.
Our target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- Every calculator input has a visible text label, and results are in a live region so screen readers announce updates.
- Text and controls are checked for WCAG AA colour contrast in the default light theme.
- All controls work with a keyboard and show a visible focus outline.
- Animation is switched off when your system asks for reduced motion.
- Pages reflow on small screens and when zoomed to 200%; nothing scrolls sideways.
- Charts repeat numbers that are also given as text or in a table.
- Automated audits (Google Lighthouse accessibility) scored 100 on the pages we tested on Oct 23, 2026.
Known limits
Automated tools do not catch everything, and we have not yet had an independent manual audit. Some linked third-party sites are outside our control.
